A toast to Simon & Toast

Simon & Toast were ready for a new home. Simon had been living in the outer suburbs for several years with his rescue greyhound, Toast. 

Commuting 3 hours per day for work was taking its toll and a move to the inner city, cafe lifestyle was calling.

When we began our home buying briefing session, it was evident that we had a collection of rare attributes we needed to find in one home. We were searching for an inner city home with enough room for a small pool, a pooch and some space for entertaining. The home needed to be walk in ready, not require too much work or maintenance, feel spacious and be light filled. No easy feat when looking at single fronted, inner city period homes. But we did it! 

Excited for the challenge, we shortlisted a number of homes to review and discuss. After discarding some of the options, we inspected the rest and uncovered an absolute gem we would have been excited to purchase for Simon and Toast. It was an aspirational home for the budget, however knowing there were only 1 possibly 2 other bidders on the property it made sense to attend the auction in case we got lucky. We did just miss out on that property, however we had a back up property we were equally excited about and it was going to be auctioned the very next day. 

The second auction was hotly contested with at least 6 bidders. Bids flew around the large crowd thick and fast until finally there were only 2 bidders remaining, The two remaining bidders pursued the property for the remaining $80,000 and we jumped in at this point and finished off the auction with just 2 bids winning the keys to this very special home for Simon & Toast.

• Short walk to tram, train, cafes and restaurants 
• Extra spacious for a single fronted home 
• Very quiet and peaceful home/street yet moments to the buzz of inner city living 

Simon’s favourite part of the home 

I am so excited about my new home! Living in this area, I will be able to get to work, go for a swim and have a social life which will be a whole new lifestyle! The moment I stepped into this house I loved its spaciousness, heritage features and how it felt safely tucked away yet just minute or two from the hustle and bustle.
